STAT200 - Statistical Modelling in the Sciences II
Semester 1, 2009
In this unit we examine statistical models and their practical
application. We will concentrate on linear models but will see
that these models encompass not only multiple regression
(including polynomial regression) but also provide the models for
Analysis of Variance. Other topics include linear mixed effects models and generalized linear models. We will be concentrating on the practical application
of the linear model. Computing, using the R statistical and graphical software package, will form an integral part of the unit.
